Timeline of Internet:
The working on internet is start during the cold war of Russia and America in 1960s. The basic and main used of internet is to communicate with the armed forces.

For the first time in history for the purpose of communication four computer are developed and connected.

ARPANET:
ARPANET stand for Advanced Research Project Agency. When Russia launch Sputnik Satellite, American department of Defence developed a network called ARPANET during the cold war. It allows to connect several computer to a single computer.It is used to send informations to armed forces at large distance with high speed. Email was developed by ARPANET. That make easy and fast communication between networks and individuals.

Paul Baran:
In 1964s Paul Baran published a paper on Distributed Computer Network.In this proposal he wrote a theoritical model for data transfer.
It include data storage, digital packet, and processing.

NCP Protocol:
NCP stand for Network Control Protocol. It was the first network protocol that was developed in 1970. It is standard protocol for data transfer.

It is stand for Defanced Advanced Research Project Agency. It was the new name of ARPA. Now, about 37 countries were connected together.
DARPA started data sharing among different network.

It is stand for Transmission Control Protocol or Internet Protocol. A team of Standardford Institute developed TCP/IP. It was developed in 1982. It laid the foundation of modern internet. It is a standard protocol that all allows different computer networks to interconnect.

BITNET stand for Because its Time Network.CSNET stands for Computer Science Network.It is developed for academic and reasearch purposes rather than military purpose.

domain name system replace ip addressing. Made easy to websites through names like 7scribes.com, .org etc rather than using IP addressing. It was developed in 1983.

It was emerged in early 1990s. it makes services available across government, military and academics institutions.

A british computer scientist tim berners-lee invented World Wide Web(www).He also developed HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), HTTP (Hyper Text Transmission Protocol) and URLs (Uniform Resources Locater) in 1989. It allows to create webpages and inter link them.

Due to advancement in the technology. Internet start growing in late of 1990s to 2000s internet grow rapidly and become that the global network. So, it can be called as internet boom era.
