The Real Meaning of Education: Shaping Creative Minds

In this blog, I will explain the aspects, real meaning, and purpose of learning. Everyone should know the real meaning, aspects, and purpose of learning. If students acquire knowledge by understanding the real meaning, purpose, and aspect of education, then it is beneficial for them and their society.

Definition:

Education refers to the discipline concerned with teaching and learning methods in schools or school-like environments, as opposed to various formal and informal means of socialization.

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of minds on thinking.”

                                                                                                                                (Elbert Einstein)

In this quotation, he said that learning does not mean learning facts. If it means learning facts, then, in this modern era, every piece of information and fact is available on the internet, so there is no need to remember it. Suppose a person wants to earn money for this purpose. He reads thousands of books on how to earn money. The person will not earn money until he knows how to implement the knowledge. To implement the knowledge he should have to think. In other words, he needs creativity to implement the education or knowledge.

Aspects of Education:

Teachers asking questions about aspects of education.

There are two main aspects of education.

1) Theoretical knowledge

2) Application of knowledge

Theoretical Knowledge

Theoretical knowledge is the knowledge that we get from books, newspapers, journals, articles, and blogs. We just read them and do not try to implement the knowledge we have gained.

 Application of knowledge:

Application of knowledge refers to the practical use of theoretical knowledge to

  • Solve real-world problems
  • Create something new.
  • Take effective action.
  • Achieve specific goals

In simple words, the application of knowledge involves:

  • Changing theoretical concepts into practical solutions
  • Using knowledge to analyze situations, identify patterns, and make connections
  • Selecting and applying relevant tools, techniques, and methods
  • Adapting knowledge to fit specific contexts and situations.
  • Continuously evaluating and refining the application of knowledge based on feedback and results.

Real Meaning of Education

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

                                                                                                                                                                                                              (Elbert Einstein)

This is a beautiful quotation from Elbert Einstein. He is giving us a life lesson that God has given everyone a particular ability; everyone should know his ability. In these quotes, he used the example of a fish. A fish does not climb to a tree. If a person judges the fish due to its inability to climb the tree, then the person is stupid. If the fish thinks about itself that I am useless, then it is stupid because God gives the ability to swim for the fish, not to climb the tree.

“Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                     (Sam Levenson)

In conclusion, everyone should know and polish the ability God has given. If people find the ability and polish it, then they will be successful.

“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.”

                                                                                                                                                                                                        (Christian D.Larson)

Purpose of Education:

Education aims to make good human beings with skills and expertise. Teachers can create enlightened human beings.

“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”

                                                                                                                                     (Nelson Mandela)

Ultimately, education in its real sense is the pursuit of truth.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the purpose of education is not the means to get a job. However, to create responsible consciousness, self-confidence, and creative citizens.
